Procedures

On our site there is a lot of information. For this reason there is a summary of what steps you can you if you want study at the Academy for Counselling and Coaching.

• If you want to register yourself with us, email the application form.
• Our Brussels coach will contact you for a initial interview.
• After approval you will be sent an invoice.
• After receivement of your fees the syllabus is sent.
• Read the syllabus upon receiving it.
• If you have any questions you can email or call your trainer or the academy.
• We receive the right to postpone the start of the training when there are not enough enlisters.
• After registration no refund wil be done.
• Order the books at a suitable book store.
• Study the ethical code for coach or counsellor and the feedback rules.
• Begin with studying the theory on the literature list.
• Go to the practical trainings and practise the theory with the other students under the guidance of the coach.
• Form a study group with other students and meet regularly.
• Keep detailed notes/an essay of the training and exercises that you do.
• See if you meet the learning expectations.
• Work on your inner growth and keep notes of this.
• Practise the theory that you learn.
• Besides the books the Internet is also a good source of information, use that medium.
• You can partake in the mailing list or use our forum.
• Any questions or difficulties and you can always mail us.
• Have a supervisory conversation with your coach twice a year. 

As soon as your essays about inner growth and the practical training are finished, you can email them to us at the same time.
If you want do exam, you must submit an application a month before the examination date.
As soon as your essay meets the requirements, your coach agrees and you have passed the theory, you will receive your diploma.

 

For 2nd the level:

You can specialise and submit for the 2nd level applying via e-mail and payment of the course fee. Consult with your trainer and study coach about the direction you choose: coach or counsellor. Create an action plan by means of the instructions on that level and execute that. As soon as the criteria have been met, you receive the diploma.

Choose a specialisation and apply for the 3rd year

For the 3rd and 4th level the same applies.

Depending on your knowledge and situation it might be possible to do levels at the same time. You start, for example, with level 1. At the moment you seriously start counselling or coaching, you can simultaneously start with level 2. Level 3 is an extension of level 2. The main difference is the number of hours of practical experience and extra specialist knowledge. Consult with your study coach on the route that you choose. 2nd and 3rd level can be done simultaneously.

Irrespective of what you want to do, whatever route you choose, always make sure that you document everything synoptically and thoroughly. Make a port folio with concrete proof of every detail.

This allows you to earn your diplomas. Professional associations and employers can possibly ask you for this. If you do a lot, but cannot prove it, it only has value for you and not for another or an institute. In every country people like concrete proof and little use for fairy-tales.
